1 Comments:
A Christmas Eve meditation
O favored ones all
who heed Love's call
lift the chalice
of our hearts
to thy lips
O Lord of Life
breathe peace
and holy spirit
so we may be filled
in spiritual communion
bejeweled by grace
our soul a golden chalice
encrusted with jewels
inlaid with precious gold
and reflective metals soft
pounded, shaped, refined and formed
by love divine
As in revelation
deep peace flows from
new wine filled vessels
blood of the Lamb
It is enough, it is all,
War can now be still
and violence a distant shore
Sweet Jesus we drink thee
this eve of soft stillness
as the lowly are lifted
and the hungry are filled
Bring light this night
as shepherds watch
and angels trumpet
and children dream
A gentle Emmanuel
awaits new birth
in the chalice of our hearts
O favored ones,
each, and every, and All
Peace, Janet
